Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Jori Robison, MSN, RN, OCN, joined Clarkson College as an instructor in the Undergraduate Nursing program in 2021. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing, both from Nebraska Methodist College.

Ms. Robison spent her clinical career has been at Nebraska Medicine where she started as a care tech on the neurology floor while in school. She also worked on the Solid Organ Transplant Unit, wound clinic and in hyperbaric medicine. She then transferred to the Oncology Specialty Care Unit and in the outpatient infusion center before becoming the oncology educator for the Buffet Cancer Center.

Words of Wisdom

My best advice to students is seek opportunities and use this time to soak up all the unique experiences they can in school. I encourage my students to support each other through this experience because no one understands nursing school besides fellow peers. I found my best friends in nursing school and although life takes us on many different paths, they are still my closest friends to this day!
